Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wisdom Star Pro collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you and your child use our language-learning platform. We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Because our Service is used by children, we take particular care with children's data and rely on parental consent as described below.
1. Introduction
Wisdom Star Pro ("we", "us", "our") operates a language-learning platform for children. This policy applies to personal data we process about parents, guardians, and children who use the Service.
2. Data We Collect
Required account information: email address, full name, username, and role (for example, parent or student).
Optional profile information: profile photo and phone number.
Children's information provided by a parent or guardian: name, date of birth, school, and grade or year level.
Parent and guardian information: home address and emergency contact details.
Usage information: learning progress, quiz and exam results, class attendance, and technical data needed to operate the Service.
3. Children's Data and Parental Consent
Children do not register themselves. A parent or guardian creates and manages each child's account and provides the child's information.
By registering a child, the parent or guardian consents, on the child's behalf, to the collection and use of that child's personal data as described in this policy. A single consent record is created for the family at the time of registration.
Parents and guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to create and manage accounts, deliver and personalise learning, schedule and run classes, track progress, communicate important service information, provide support, and keep the Service secure.
We do not use children's data for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
5. Legal Basis and Consent
We process personal data on the basis of the consent you provide during registration, to perform our services to you, and to meet our legal obligations. For children's data, we rely on parental or guardian consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, although this may affect our ability to continue providing the Service.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only to the extent necessary. These include our authentication provider, our real-time messaging provider (Pusher), our file-storage and hosting providers (including Vercel and Vercel Blob), and our email delivery provider.
These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When an account is deactivated, records are retained using soft deletion for a limited period to support recovery, audit, and legal obligations, after which they may be permanently removed.
You may request deletion of your data as described in "Your Rights" below.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you or your child, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to obtain a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls that limit who can see personal data.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any security incident.
10. International Transfers
Some of our service providers may process data in locations outside Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
12. Contact and Data Protection
If you have questions about this policy, or wish to exercise your data-protection rights, please contact us at admin@wisdomstarpro.com or +6012-289 3445.
